Designed the volunteer registration system & website for the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Track and Field Meets each year. The system deals with over 600 volunteers each year, and is a major part of helping the state track meet run efficiently. Worked with the IHSA Officials to not only put the current system online, but also improve the volunteer coordination for the event by re-evaluating the current setup and how we could better utilize everyone.

This is my biggest project - the one that I work on in all my free-time. A complex team management tool and a Content Management System in one - provides a great way for teams to create a website, and also for coaches to manage the team. Written using PostGRESQL, PHP, Javascript and AJAX - this program continues to grow as teams adopt the system and as I code new features.

Web-based medical program - Doctor wanted a system that could be accessed from anywhere and used by multiple offices. Includes advanced user-rights system: allowing only certain staff from certain facilities access to certain files at certain times (crazy, I know)! Lots of fun to work on because of all the awesome little quirks.

This project brought together all aspects of web development to create a one-stop-shop for users at Eastern Illinois University to maintain their websites. Using PHP, Javascript, AJAX - under a database driven system - the site manager has numerous features that make tedious or larger tasks into simple tasks that can be undertaken by many people. Tasks like creating and updating a directory listing, or creating a javascript expandable menu - these have been put into a drag n' drop format for superior ease-of-use.

Managed the Student Recreation website for campus for 2 years. During my time as webmaster, I was in charge of the day-to-day maintenance on the #2 most popular website on-campus - keeping all the information about intramurals and rec center activities up-to-date. Also re-designed the site twice, both time using analytics and user response to make the best re-design for our users.

Just a large site - in terms of content and the changes that needed to be made. The School of Business is one of the larger departments at EIU, and their site is a high-traffic zone for faculty, students, and prospective students alike - and their previous site wasn't really user-friendly and needed a bit of work to make it easier on the eye. I worked with some of the staff and administrators to help migrate their website to the new EIU design, and give them a site that is easier for their users to navigate. Also provided a new directory listing system allowing faculty and staff to update their own profiles - taking the work off the staff and creating a more useful faculty directory.

In updating the University Police Department (UPD) website on-campus - I was thinking their site would look much better with a little more interactive blotter than just a white page with black text. This blotter is database driven with a user-friendly backend that allows for quick input of cases into the database that are properly and well-tagged. Having the cases well tagged allows for the front-end to have some nice search and filtering options. My first-time using the Google Maps API - just something new and fun.

No crazy development here, just a basic site! I did do all the photography for the site, so that was rather enjoyable for me. I enjoy doing web design work occasionally - but certainly not my forte!

Another site without any real code behind it, just a simple site for a real estate agent. Used a little flash and some nice photo galleries (simpleviewer!).
